Day 4: Bug Bites and Dehydration and Allergies

I’m going to cut this one short tonight for two reasons:  First, Kevin says I type too much and tell everyone too much and we won’t have enough to tell anyone when we get back, and Second, I’m dehydrated and my allergies have decided to attack me causing a terrible headache.  The sun is a killer.  It has just exhausted me, especially after our trip today.  I also was destroyed by mosquitos so I’m itchy =(

We went into ‘hillbilly’ country today to drop Anna off at her daughter’s for the day, so she could get her hair done and her gossip fix.  At least that is what grandpa says.  It was kind of cool to drive into the heart of the country though.  We actually saw how the majority of people down here live.  It really is a sad way of living.  Makeshift housing with bars over every window, and animals roaming the streets.

We then headed to the mountain and took the teleferico (cable car) up.  Woah…talk about SCARY!  It was beautiful up there though.  We took tons and tons and tons of pictures up there.  I’ll attach some at the end.

And to answer your question Darla, Kevin has been strictly drinking el Presidente (my grandpa’s beer of choice).  I have to watch him, so he doesn’t turn into an alcoholic LOL.  (Although he did try some of my Brugal Rum).

The view from the top of the mountain.  These pictures do not even do this view justice!  I was breath-taking, and worth the ride up. n
