Ennis Oregon Trail: Ontario OR to Medford OR

Leg 5 – Ontario, OR to Medford, OR
Miles: 450
Hours: 8 driving, 4 hiking
Things of Interest: Crater Lake, friends

Second to last leg brought us to Crater Lake National Park. We’ve both been here before, but it was only 20 min out of the way so we figured it’d be a good stop. It’s the first time we’ve been that there wasn’t snow on the ground, so most of the park was open for us to explore. We did a bit of light hiking and drove around a chunk of the rim.

The lake never disappoints — so so blue.

Next is Medford to visit my dear friend and her family. A huge bonus of this move is that they are in the same state with us again. It’s been a while since I’ve arrived somewhere with an ally already in my corner. So glad to be near them again. Late dinner at a Mexican restaurant which was delightful — horchata and all.
