New York, New York

What did we see today?
-Statue of Liberty
-Ellis Island
-Staten Island
-NY Skyline n n

What did we experience?
-Ferry ride
-More traffic
-More tolls

We finally made it to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty today. It was a nice little ferry ride over to each of the islands… you just take your time at each stop and jump on the next ferry to the next stop. Beautiful views of the skyline as well as Lady Liberty from the ferry. We then attempted to go on the Staten Island Ferry, but we could not figure out where to park. So we ended up just driving around and then coming back to the hotel.

We didn’t make it to downtown NY to see Central Park or 5th Avenue, but I have been promised that we will return to NYC to see everything.  This trip was all about the traditional “American” stops, with the Statue of Liberty being the reason we came to NY in the first place.  So we will return =)

For tomorrow, we have added potentially two more stops to our trip on the way to Philly… to be determined tomorrow once we get on the road.

Until tomorrow…
