Home Sweet Home

We arrived home about 1am this morning and slept a good portion of the day away.

We made a quick pit stop in Tacoma to Stadium High School… which is where 90% of 10 Things I Hate About You was filmed.  I can’t even imagine going to school in a place like that — so much history and so castle-like. The football stadium is even the same one as in the movie which was so cool to see. I could just imagine Heath Ledger prancing down the stadium stairs singing.

The rest of the day was spent with my Aunt and Uncle and their sweet girls. I don’t know that the girls really remembered me, but I gained their trust quick. Before I knew it I was up in their room while they pointed out every single thing in there… including their secret hiding spot under the bed which they then made me climb under to see =)  We played baseball, picked berries and apples, and watched Netflix all in a couple of hours. I was sad to leave them, especially when little Kialee told me she was going to miss me so much 🙁

It was a great last day of vacation. Flight home was uneventful and very smooth until we came up on a lightning storm. Can’t say I ever want to watch one of those from a plane again… it was like the start of Sharknado. Very very eerie.

Sad that this adventure is over, but ready for the next adventure to begin. September is only weeks away!!

Stadium High School. So so cool.

Kialee and Aubrey and I just chilling… chatting about Stuart and Kevin (the minions, not the husband of course).

My buddy Kialee… can’t wait to see them again in September =)
