Day 7 — Italy!

Today was a new adventure for us — we traveled from Munich to Italy by train. It was surprisingly easy even though the 7 hour train ride was so long (our flight was cancelled, so we had to go by train..). It’s crazy how easy it is to just get on a train – no tickets are checked until you are on board and even then it’s random and there is no security check whatsoever which seems crazy to me.

We rode first class for this trip and it was quite nice. We had power and tray tables and a compartment. Not completely to ourselves, but our compartment partners who were from Miami actually departed about two hours in and we had the whole thing to ourselves after that.

Since today was mostly a travel day, we didn’t get to explore too much, but we did go grab pizza for dinner. I mean, seriously, it’s Italy – of course we are gonna eat pizza.  We ordered a sausage pizza and it looked like hotdogs cut up and put on the pizza, but it tasted pretty darn good.

Tomorrow we will explore Venice and hopefully get some Gelato once or four times =)
