Day 16 – Last Full Day :(

Today is our last full day abroad. While we are sad about leaving, we are ready to sleep in our own bed. European beds are not the most comfortable with a lot of down pillows and their ‘queen’ beds are actually two twins pushed together with a big crater in the middle. Not exactly a comfortable spot for a whole in the bed especially when you (err me) gravitate to sleep in the middle every night.

We trained from Lucerne to Zurich – did a little shopping – bought a little chocolate! – and kind of poked around all afternoon.  We actually ate lunch at the Zurich train station… butter pretzel for me and bratwurst for Kev. Dinner was at Pizzeria Giardino which was the best pizza we’ve had so far. I had a Hawaiian which had pineapple and cherries on it… completely different than anything I’ve had before, but really good! Plus the cherries made the mozzarella cheese turn hot pink which was fun. Kevin had a chicken, sweet peppers, sweet corn and mozzarella cheese which was really good too. Two thumbs up for this place for sure!

We’ve now packed all of our stuff, and will be awaiting our 5:30A alarm to catch the shuttle to the airport — which means this trip has come to an end. So sad 🙁

I’d say in about a week or so we’ll have all our pictures posted to the respective albums if you are interested in seeing them. If not, we’ll catch you on the next trip.
