Off to England

A very very (did I mention very?) early start to our day waking up at 3am to catch our flight to the UK. Thank goodness the airport had a Sbarro for some breakfast pizza.

Quick three hour flight and a rental car pick up, and we were headed to one of the few areas in England we haven’t spent much time. Mostly a driving day with two notable stops.

First stop was the only US territory in the UK which was donated by Queen Elizabeth in honor of President John F. Kennedy after he was shot. A bit odd walking through the gate onto US soil.. this is also where the Magna Carta was signed. So random.

The second random stop so we could stretch our legs was Hopton Castle — a 12th century Norman castle.

Finally making it to our accomodation in Church Stretton, we wandered up to the top of the valley where my favorite thing of the day happened. I was booped by a sheep. An actual nose boop on my hand. Best.day.ever.

Oh, the view was also pretty nice šŸ™‚
